perhaps there should be a PSA group classics thred for all those great brands absorbed in to Peugeot.
Hillman
Chrysler Europe
SIMCA
Talbot
Ford France
all spring to mind.... and of course those cars sold by Peugeot dealers made by Matra. The Matra Rancho is a prime example, being a Simca 1100 pickup, modified by Matra sold by Peugeot under the Talbot brand. The Matra Murena was at one point ... designed by Matra, constructed by Renault, sold by Peugeot powered by Simca engines.
There are loads of oddities to get discussions over. I'm always amazed at the Talbot Horizon, actually being sold worldwide including the USA. Infact the european cars had interior parts made in the US.
If anybody has a Horizon diesel, drop me a line. |
