Hi there!!

My first post at this new forum. My name is Freek a.k.a. Nimrod. 20 years young and living in Holland. I'm driving a Peugeot 205 1.1i from 1991. Was a cheap car to buy but I put allot of money in it for parts... but it's all love so I don't care. I do all work by my self and that makes it extra special. Got GTi half leather seats in it for the comfort and a bit of ICE also.

Pictures follow soon !

C ya, Freek

Greetings,

Right now I am driving an '74 MG Midget. But at some point down road I'd like to get a diesel car, maybe a Peugeot.

More like a street sleeper i reckon! Very Happy
I owned a brand new Rover 200 VI in 1999.The one with the VVC 1.8,145 BHP.A proper hot hatch before they all became to heavy.I reckon the 406 is a fast as that was through the gears now.It goes like stink, but have gained about 5 mpg as well, now averging(?) 45 mpg a week now.Up & down the M5 each day to Devon working.Only had it done just over a week ago now.My Xantia was the 1.9TD XUD VSX est.I had that boosted to 115 bhp.It was quick, but nothing like the grin factor i have now Very Happy .

I was thinking of getting a 2.2 Hdi,then having it re mapped to 170ish BHP Very Happy .But they were more expensive to insure, tax, etc.Plus i got my one for about £1800 cheaper than its worth, with known history & one carefull owner, with 56K miles on it.
Will be servicing it soon,& will be putting a K & N panel filter in it,with should go well with the re map,& maybe give it a few more BHP.
It drove well with 110 bhp,& pulled our caravan very well. But if theres more bhp to get from it,i`ll have it! Very Happy The re map was £175,off Ebay.Only took an hour to do.So it now has 140 bhp,& 221 lbft/300 ish NM of torque.
Just need to watch the clutch & tyres.I`ve managed to get the front tyres to screech changing from 1st to 2nd,in the dry!! Very Happy Embarassed

Yours is a 2.0 then I presume?

Love the idea of a car that looks completely normal on the outside but goes like stink. Should surprise a few people! Shocked

No, we only get the 3dr hatch, 5dr hatch, SW estate and CC. It's probably an asian thing - 4 doors are more popular in the east than anywhere else. All europeans want at the moment is mini MPVs.

Hi guys (and girls)

I'm Paul from Herefordshire (UK), I recently bought a nearly new 407 2.0 HDI 138 Saloon.

It didn't stay standard for long, now has limo black tinted rear windows, twin DVD screen in the back for the kids, Parrot 3200LS colour bluetooth phone kit, Peugeot SP Grill, additional sound deadening and a shed load of cables run through the vehicle ready for the stereo system!

I'll add some pics etc in the 407 section.
