BMW says it and PSA Peugeot agree to examine expanding engine tie-up
FRANKFURT (AFX) - BMW AG said it has agreed with PSA Peugeot Citroen to examine expanding the companies' engine tie-up.
BMW and PSA Peugeot (other-otc: PEUGY.PK - news - people ) said in a joint statement that they will conduct a feasibility study for a new four-cylinder petrol motor family.
They added that should the study's results confirm the expected technological, financial and industrial advantages, both car makers will start a joint development project.

| Peugeot are also suggesting there could be a "stronger tie" between themselves and Mitsubishi, possibly even a buy out of the oriental manufacturer, but is this another case of "technology stripping", like with BMW and landrover? |
