| Just curious, which peugeot engine will fit directly into 504 (excluding 504 engines of course!) without modification? |

404 engines, and 505 engines without too much bother. The 505 V6 engine is the PRV unit and can be found in Volvo, Renault, Citroen, Talbot so you should be able to make a Renault Laguna V6 fit with some work.
Early Jeep engines should go in as they used Peugeot's gearbox. The 504 diesel engines were used by lots of manufacturers including Ford, Mahindra, Leyland Daf, so opportunites all round. The existing Peugeot engine you have is a simple design I would take get it running. |
