406 REAR WINDOWS

Hi,can anybody help!!!!.My 406 2000 est has a problem with the rear windows,the switches light up and when worked power comes out of the switch.I tryed to follow the wires to the windows but the wiring goes under the carpet and disappears,does the loom go to a box/ecu/control unit or what. MANY THANKS
