307 2.0 HDi Brake Problem 2002 model.

Hi,

I have a problem with the brakes on my 307. It only seems to occur when I first start the car.

When I first start the car the brake pedal will hardly push down and the brakes hardly work. Once some pressure is applied to the brake pedal it will slowly depress and then the brakes will work fine. If I then switch off the car and restart it the brakes are fine. It only seems to do it when the car has been standing for a while.

Does anyone have any ideas what could cause this.

I have checked the brake fluid level and it seems fine.
